A mobile application transforming leisure planning through social network and AI personalisation.
challenges
Traditional venue discovery is often inefficient, relying on untrustworthy reviews and irrelevant recommendations.
Users struggle to find a cohesive platform that combines personalised recommendations with trusted social networking.
Casual users often avoid committing to apps that demand upfront registration, resulting in drop-offs before onboarding.
Planning group outings can be frustrating without the ability to share and collaborate seamlessly.

Flexible Subscription Model: Offered premium features like group collaboration tools and advanced filtering options for paid users.
The design process began with extensive user research, including surveys and interviews with potential users. These insights highlighted key pain points in existing leisure-planning apps, such as irrelevant recommendations and a lack of trust in reviews. Competitor analysis helped identify gaps in the market, particularly around social integration and AI-driven personalisation.
Using this foundation, I developed user personas and mapped out their journeys to ensure the app met their needs. The sitemap and user flows were carefully crafted to minimise friction, especially for first-time users, while accommodating more advanced features for power users.
Wireframes were created to explore various layouts and interactions, which were then refined into high-fidelity prototypes using Figma. Usability testing with 5 participants provided key feedback, leading to adjustments in assuming a guest mode design first, with later subscription prompts. Accessibility was a key focus throughout, ensuring compliance with WCAG standards and incorporating inclusive design principles.
